YOGA THERAPY

Yoga therapy is the process of empowering individuals to progress toward improved health and wellbeing through the application of the teachings and practices of yoga.

Yoga is recognized by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) as a form of CAM in the category of “mind-body” medicine.

Yoga is a scientific method of self transformation originated in India. The teaching of yoga are very clearly mentioned in our Vedas. The Yoga Therapy means the application of yogic practices in a therapeutic context that will increase self awareness and engage an individual’s energy into desired goals. The aim is to reduce and eliminate inappropriate symptoms and behaviors and strengthen and reinforce appropriate behaviors.

Yoga helps improve the quality of life by  improving the quality of sleep, promote relaxation, decrease pain, increase joint stability and strength. It helps physiologically by improving circulation, digestion, it helps regulate our heart rate, respiratory rate and blood pressure. It also benefits an individual psychologically by increasing emotional stability, confidence, reduces pain and anxiety, it improves the alertness of minded help overcome depression.
